Jean Schlumberger

Jean Schlumberger started working as a button designer for Elsa Schiaperelli. She was the woman who encouraged him to design jewelry for her collections.  After World War II, Jean Schlumberger moved to New York to design clothing for Chez Ninon. In 1946, he opened his jewelry salon.

Jean Schlumberger designed Tiffany's most famous creation 'Bird on a Rock',  which was the mounting for the yellow 'Tiffany Diamond'.  He is one of only 4 celebrated jewelers allowed to sign work at the famous Tiffany &Co.
