Valerie Perrine began her career as a young showgirl in Las Vegas. These days she is best known for her role as the original and fabulously misguided bombshell Miss Eve Teschmacher in the films Superman and Superman II, filmed in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Valerie also played the role of Samantha in the Village People movie. Years later, she was still as fabulous in her small role in the film What Women Want where she appeared as a showgirl 'aunt' to Mel Gibson. She has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actress.

World War II pin-up beauty Jane Russell passed away today of respiratory failure. She was at her house in Santa Maria, California. Jane was best known as a voluptuous and controversial bombshell of 1940s and 1950s movies.
